Honda was the latest manufacturer to announce its rider line-up for the upcoming MotoGP season. This is what the 2027 MotoGP grid currently looks like as silly season approaches its final chapter.

Honda completes line-up, one question remains

Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that Fabio Quartararo had signed a two-year deal with the Honda HRC factory team. The 2021 MotoGP champion will join the team from Japanese rivals Yamaha.
Honda's factory team and LCR each have one rider secured for the upcoming season, as Johann Zarco is also under contract for the 2027 campaign.
Today, Honda also announced the signing of Colombian Moto2 prodigy David Alonso. However, it did not reveal which team he would compete for. The Japanese manufacturer can choose to promote Diogo Moreira from LCR, as the Brazilian rider also has a multi-year contract in place.

Factory teams are already complete

At Ducati, Marc Marquez will remain with the factory team until the 2028 season. He will be joined by Pedro Acosta from KTM, who is considered to be among the lead candidates to become the next big champion in the competition.
At Ducati, there is still a seat open at the satellite teams. Joan Mir and Alonso's Moto2 teammate, Daniel Holgado, will ride for Gresini Racing next year.
Fermin Aldeguer also has a contract with Ducati. With no other seats available at the Italian manufacturer, he is likely to join Valentino Rossi's team. World Superbike Championship leader Nicolo Bulega is heavily tipped to join him at VR46.

Acosta replaces former MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia, who is set to join Marco Bezzecchi at Aprilia. Bezzecchi's contract extension was announced before the season began.
Alongside Acosta, Brad Binder will also not continue with KTM next season. Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio will join the Austrian team in an all-new rider line-up.
Yamaha will also begin the upcoming season with an all-new rider line-up. The Japanese manufacturer has signed 2024 world champion Jorge Martin from Aprilia and Ai Ogura from the Trackhouse team.
Former WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu will remain with Pramac Racing next season. Who the Turkish star's teammate will be remains to be seen. Trackhouse and Tech3 also have two seats left to fill.
