Everything is set for the Qualifying at the Hungaroring. Follow our live text coverage of the session at the Hungarian GP! After three free practice sessions, the drivers are ready to return to the track for the fourteenth qualifying session of the season at the
Hungaroring.
An extremely important session for everyone, considering how historically difficult it is to overtake at the Hungarian circuit — known for its twisty layout and limited overtaking opportunities, with Turn 1 being one of the very few exceptions.
Max Verstappen in Hungary
Who will grab pole in Hungary?
The clear favourites for pole position are, of course,
Lando Norris and
Oscar Piastri. Norris has always said he loves this track and has consistently been quick here, but on the other hand, the Australian claimed the first win of his career at this very circuit last year.
It remains to be seen what
Max Verstappen will be able to do, after struggling heavily with his RB21 yesterday.
However, he did show some encouraging signs in FP3. Keep an eye on
Charles Leclerc as well — the Monegasque has looked sharp throughout the entire weekend so far.
It will also be interesting to see what
Lewis Hamilton can do, as the Englishman holds the record for the most wins at the Hungaroring with eight victories, along with nine pole positions—the highest for any active driver at the circuit.
His most recent win came in 2023, during what had been another challenging season for him with Mercedes up to that point.
To find out what happens next, all that’s left is to wait for the green light, with qualifying getting underway at 4 PM local time.
