Will rain be a factor today after a dry Friday? Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for today, Saturday, 2 August — the day of the fourteenth qualifying session of the season at the Hungaroring. The first day on track in Hungary went as expected, with dry sessions in both
FP1 and FP2. However, today’s weather forecast could be slightly different. That said, the chances of a dry qualifying session still remain high at the moment.

According to the latest FIA report, the morning is expected to be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain, improving from dawn with a mainly sunny start.
From noon onwards, conditions should become cloudier and more unsettled, with a slight chance of showers reaching up to level 3 if they occur. Light southerly winds are forecast.
As for temperatures, FP3 is expected to see a maximum air temperature of 27°C, with track temperatures possibly ranging between 45°C and 49°C.
For qualifying, air temperatures should remain largely unchanged, while track temperatures are expected to drop slightly, settling between 36°C and 40°C.
The risk of rain currently stands at 20%, with wind speeds expected to range between 5 and 15 km/h — unlikely to play a significant role.
Barring any sudden changes, today’s sessions are also expected to take place in dry conditions, though there remains a very slight risk of rain during qualifying.
