The most important day during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend is Saturday. That's when the teams have to do everything they can to qualify as high as possible for the race on Sunday. During the first two free practices, Ferrari were the most noticeable at the top of the timesheet. In the second free practice session Ferrari were also second fastest with Carlos Sainz. Of course, it's still only practice, but what's possible for Ferrari?

The disadvantage for Ferrari is the fact that the first practice sessions in Monaco are always on Thursday. This gives the competition time to study the data and get more out of the car. On Saturday it will be interesting to see if Red Bull Racing and Mercedes will be able to keep their distance from the competition.

In the third and final free practice session, you need to keep your car intact. You have to race on the limit, but a crash can have huge consequences. For example, in 2018 Max Verstappen could not qualify because he crashed in FP3.
