The couple's dachshund, Leo, also played a key role in Leclerc's proposal.

The engagement marks a new chapter for the Monegasque driver, both on and off the track, as the couple looks ahead to their future together.

The Formula 1 season continues this weekend, as the grid heads to the iconic Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

It’s a Sprint weekend, meaning a total of 33 points will be up for grabs for the title contenders across Saturday and Sunday.

Lando Norris currently leads the standings by a single point over teammate Oscar Piastri and by 36 points over defending world champion Max Verstappen.
