Herbert tips Horner for Ferrari
Johnny Herbert has hinted that Scuderia
Ferrari might need to pursue the signing of Christian Horner if it hopes to rediscover its winning formula.
The
Formula 1 race winner explained that while he remains a huge fan of current team principal Fred Vasseur, the Maranello-based outfit may require the touch of someone who has guided a struggling team to glory.
Herbert’s backing of a move for Horner to the Italian team comes amid reports from the German media suggesting Ferrari’s chairman, John Elkann, could reconsider his stance on Vasseur’s future amid the challenging period the team is currently experiencing.
Amid these talks, it is worth noting that Vasseur penned a contract extension with the Ferrari outfit in July.

Lewis Hamilton delivered a classy response when asked about the Formula 1 driver he was most proud of defeating.
The Scuderia Ferrari driver spoke of his admiration for his competitors and the enormous sacrifices they have made in pursuit of their respective title ambitions.
The British driver boasts the most Formula 1 Drivers’ Championships – seven – alongside Michael Schumacher. Hamilton’s haul of titles has seen him engage in fierce battles against several rivals, including Felipe Massa,
Fernando Alonso, and
Sebastian Vettel.
The former Mercedes driver has also experienced the other side of title contention, having lost the
F1 championship to
Max Verstappen during the 2021 campaign.
