Stroll reveals how he stops F1 criticism from bothering him

Speaking to broadcaster Jake Humphrey on Aston Martin’s YouTube site, Stroll reflected on the highs and lows of his F1 career and outlined how trusted people around him have helped him through criticism.

The Canadian, whose father Lawrence Stroll has owned the Aston Martin F1 team ever since he bought the then 'Force India' team when it went into administration in 2018, has received significant criticism during his nine years in the sport.

Stroll outlined the importance of separating himself from the ridicule that the social media world often brings, highlighting the support system his loved ones provide him with.

He said: “I’m fortunate that I have good people around me, that I love, that I trust. And I put my attention [towards them] and value their opinions.

Stroll continued: “There’s always going to be criticism, people are very short-minded - that's never going to change.

Stroll sits P13 in the Drivers Champsionship on 32 points - just four points behind teammate Fernando Alonso.
