Lewis Hamilton is training hard to return from the summer break in peak form and finish the season strongly after a subdued half. Having put behind him a first half of the season where he was rarely among the main contenders at the top of the standings—aside from his sprint race win in China—Lewis Hamilton is ready to reclaim what everyone expects from him.
The seven-time world champion has endured a difficult season so far, marked by plenty of lows and few highs, and he is still chasing his first podium as a
Ferrari driver—despite coming very close at his home race in Silverstone last month.
Adding to this are a few statements he made over the course of the year, particularly during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, which further put the spotlight on him.
Statements
that sparked a reaction from Frederic Vasseur, who told Auto Motor und Sport:
"Lewis is very self-critical. He is always extreme in his reactions. Sometimes he is too hard on the car, sometimes on himself. He wants to get the most out of himself and everyone in the team.''Hamilton working out hard during summer break
Lewis is certainly not a driver to give up easily, as his recent post on social media clearly shows.
The former Mercedes driver shared some shots from his training sessions, showing him working hard with weights at the gym, accompanied by the caption "no days off."
After 14 Grands Prix, Hamilton sits sixth in the drivers’ standings, just like a year ago, but with only 109 points—42 fewer than his teammate Charles Leclerc, who has five more podiums to his name.
Hamilton’s aim over the final ten races of the season is to narrow the gap to Leclerc and finish the championship on a high, laying the groundwork for 2026, a decisive year in his Ferrari career.
