Rosberg: "Because of this I estimate the chances of Verstappen very high"

According to Nico Rosberg, Red Bull Racing is getting closer and closer to Mercedes. The champion of 2016 says that this is largely due to the speed of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman spends a lot of tiime in the simulator which allows him to grab a lead over his rivals.

"The victories of the previous two years are certainly not a bad sign", said Rosberg in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport when asked what the chances are for Red Bull. "I think that the 2019 results came more by Verstappen than by the team."

"After a long time without racing, there's an advantage for those who have spent a lot of time in the simulator. Because of this I estimate the chances of Verstappen very high", the former Mercedes driver continues.

Rosberg is very much looking forward to the battles between Verstappen and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc: "The duel of the future. Max can be tough, but Charles also responded harshly by making himself big at Silverstone. We're going to have fun."
