Hungaroring: "If necessary, we can do 2000 tests in a few hours"

The organisers of the Hungarian Grand Prix announced in a press conference on Thursday that the circuit is fully prepared for the third of the F1 season. This guarantees maximum safety and health.

The circuit works together with the group led by Dr. Béla Merkely to promote the well-being and safety of the drivers, the teams and the organising staff, writes F1Technical.

"We will be present with a complete laboratory, so we can detect the active virus on site within 50 minutes, if necessary", says Merkely. "If necessary, we can take two thousand tests in a few hours and provide their finding within 8 hours at the latest"

The organizers will also use an application called VirusRadar. This allows them to monitor the situation. In case someone gets infected with the coronavirus, the tracking application can help to trace the previous movements and contacts of the infected person.
