There have been major strikes in Hollywood since last Thursday. A large proportion of workers in the US film industry are laying off work, and this also affects the Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt: shooting for the film has been halted. At Silverstone last weekend, filming was still in full swing.

During the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone, filming for the Formula 1 film was still in full swing. The film is about a fictional eleventh team in Formula 1 called APXGP. During the British GP weekend, this team even had their own pit boxes and the car could also be seen in action. Pitt does not drive a real Formula 1 car, but a somewhat converted Formula 2 car.

F1 film filming halted

Major strikes are underway in US Hollywood. Workers are on strike as negotiations over streaming service revenues and a better working environment have broken down. NbcNews reports that this has also affected the Formula 1 film. Earlier, it was announced that filming for the film will also take place at Spa-Francorchamps in a fortnight's time, and probably at Zandvoort after the summer break. The strikes could therefore pose a problem for filming during the GP in Belgium in two weeks' time.
