It is the talk of the day on Tuesday: Nelson Piquet's insulting words towards Lewis Hamilton. The former Formula 1 driver with three world titles behind him mentioned the name Hamilton in one breath with the N-word last year. We had to wait for Hamilton's reaction but now it is there.
Someone wrote on Twitter: "What if Lewis Hamilton just tweeted ‘Who the f*** is Nelson Piquet?’ then closed twitter. " Hamilton 'retweeted' that post and added himself: "Imagine.."
What exactly Hamilton means by 'imagine' is not entirely clear, but then the 37-year-old driver threw another tweet into the air: "Let's focus on changing the mindset." Hamilton doesn't seem to want to burn Piquet down completely, but to focus more on how people think in relation to racism.

A third tweet says: "It’s more than language. These archaic mindsets need to change and have no place in our sport. I’ve been surrounded by these attitudes and targeted my whole life. There has been plenty of time to learn. Time has come for action."
