With the Formula 1 season over, Lewis Hamilton focused on his adventures outside of the competition this Sunday. The Briton visited his NFL team's regular season game, he shared on social media. After staying in New York City, Hamilton flew to Denver to watch his first his NFL team for the first time at the Mile High Stadium. The seven-time world champion is part of the Walter-Penner group, which owns of the team.
Many drivers, including the Briton, have projects outside of
F1 racing. For example, Max Verstappen spends time on his GT3,
recently going testing in Portugal. Hamilton was also a
co-producer of the successful 'F1: The Movie'.Hamilton's first game was not a success, as the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Broncos 34-20, snapping their 11-game-long winning streak.
Despite promising in Abu Dhabi that he would
'throw his phone in the freaking bin,' after the result, he wrote on Instagram:
"Tough day today but I'm so proud of this team. Even on a hard day like today I'm inspired by how you all support one another and continue to show up. Remember it's not how we fall, it's how we get back up! Onto the next one!"Hamilton not optimistic about 2026
Coming off his worst season and the first one without a victory, Hamilton was not overly positive about the upcoming regulation change.
He explained: "I think it’s really, really hard to predict what it’s going to be like. I don’t want to dog it, I don’t want to say too many negative things. "It feels so much different, I’m not sure you’re going to like it, but maybe I’ll be surprised and maybe it’ll be amazing. Maybe overtaking will be incredible. Maybe it’ll be easier to overtake. I don’t know."
