Good news for injured Alonso: Spaniard allowed to leave hospital

Good news from Switzerland. Fernando Alsono can leave the hospital. Last week he was admitted there after a cycling accident.

In the process, the former world champion suffered a broken jaw. Fortunatelly he can now leave the hospital, Motorsport.com reports. The Alpine driver now has a period of recovery before, the Formula One season starts in March with the race in Bahrain. It will be a race against the clock for the Spaniard to start there.

With his accident, Alonso's return may be delayed. The driver returns to Formula 1 after two years away. He drove his last race for McLaren in 2018. He finished eleventh that year.
