The first sprint race of 2021 was won by Max Verstappen. The Dutch Red Bull Racing driver outsmarted Lewis Hamilton at the start and then drove away from the Mercedes car. For teammate Sergio Perez the race was dramatic. The Mexican crashed out.
Red Bull's team radioed Perez to park the car in the garage after a spin from fifth position. George Russell held his own in the sprint race and can start from inside the top-ten in search of his first point of the season.
