FIA: Grands Prix of Canada, Singapore and Saudi Arabia 'to be announced'

From these three Grands Prix it is unclear if they can continue on the current dates. It is unknown when more clarity is expected on this.

A decision about the GP's in Singapore (3 October) and Saudi Arabia (5 December) is not yet necessary but in less than two months (13 June) the race will take place in Canada. The 4.5 km long street circuit needs to be completely built and this will take a couple of weeks.

Because of the lack of financial support, the Grand Prix is expected to be cancelled for the second year in a row, but mayor Valerie Plante remains hopeful. "It's not the city that doesn't want the race, it's Montreals public health that doesn't think it's a good idea. We spent a lot of time on the phone with our colleagues over the weekend - you can understand that there are large sums of money and contractual agreements at stake. We want the Grand Prix to stay. That is our wish."
