Adam Norris commented on
Lando Norris’s world championship win in Abu Dhabi, telling F1 that only the winner is remembered. He said the difference between finishing first, second, third, or fifth is significant, but that results behind the winner rarely stay in people’s memories.
He added that he often cannot recall who finished second in past seasons, despite son Norris placing in that same position in last year's Standings.
He also noted that various circumstances like illness, retirements, or other issues may have influenced previous championship outcomes, yet what endures is the identity of the champion. Adam Norris described his son’s achievement as “a big day.”
Helmut Marko has officially left
Red Bull Racing after 20 years as the team’s motorsport advisor, the team confirmed. His departure comes two days after
Max Verstappen missed the 2025 World Championship by two points to Lando Norris.
Marko said he had spent six decades in motorsport, with more than 20 years at Red Bull forming an extraordinary and successful period, in response to his decision to leave. He stated he was proud of what had been built and achieved with the team.
Marko added that narrowly missing the championship this season affected him deeply and showed him it was the right moment to end this long chapter. He wished Red Bull continued success for next year.
