The Formula 2 sprint race was nothing short of spectacular. After an earlier red flag, the race was stopped again on the final lap, bringing a chaotic end to an unpredictable event. The race began relatively smoothly, but trouble struck on lap thirteen for the Red Bull junior
when he collided with Luke Browning and Sami Meguetounif, prompting a lengthy red flag period.
On the final lap, Richard Verschoor nearly went off track but managed to keep control. However, disaster struck shortly after in turn three when Cordeel spun and ended up facing the wrong way.
Formanoli, Gabriele Mini, and others crashed into him. The incident allowed Verschoor to gain a position, but with Dunne also moving up, Verschoor just missed out on taking the championship lead.
The victory went to Pepe Martí, who earned 10 points in the sprint race, followed by Joshua Durksen and Roman Stanek rounding out the podium.
