The organisers of the Nordschleife Strecke Serie (NLS) hailed the past race weekend in which Max Verstappen took victory at his GT3 debut. "The fact that the reigning Formula 1 world champion races GT3 on the Nordschleife is not only good for us, the circuit, and the region, but also for the GT races worldwide."
While Verstappen is already on his way to Singapore for a Grand Prix, the Nürburgring is still basking in the afterglow of the race, which was graced by the reigning
F1 champion.
Verstappen another caliber at the Nürburgring
In the past, there have often been prominent people racing at the Nürburgring, such as rapper SMUDO (Die Fantastischen Vier), former professional footballer Max Kruse, and Aiko Toyoda, the former CEO of Toyota - along with all the very well-known GT drivers. But Verstappen was of a different class for the organisation to manage.
Circuit chiefs are happy that everything went well, after the extensive preparations and many discussions with Verstappen's management team. For example, detailed security measures put in place and to manage extra crowds that flooded to the circuit.

NLS boss proud of Verstappen and the event
The event ran without issues, despite the huge interested in Verstappen in the paddock, in the pit lane, and on the starting grid. But the organisation of the NLS handle the event perfectly, even with more spectators that the circuit has for the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.
"It was a fantastic experience to see Max driving in the NLS, and I was personally impressed by his performance,” Mike Jäger tells GPblog, the managing director of organiser, VLN.
“He proved to be a real racer, and although he was by no means eager to get the license, he just did it. I think the experience of racing here with the modest Cayman did him a lot of good personally."

“We are grateful that he has brought us a lot of international attention and are already looking forward to his announcement that he will be racing with us again in the future."
