The season of Max Verstappen seems to have received the final nail in its coffin. Despite another update to the RB21 from Red Bull Racing, the reigning world champion lacked the necessary performance to challenge McLaren. It appears impossible to quickly turn the tide, knowing which further updates are still in the pipeline.
Before the British Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing had (again) made an adjustment to the RB21's floor, but during Friday's free practice sessions, it was already clear that this did not close the gap to McLaren. In fact, McLaren, as well as Ferrari and Mercedes seemed to be in better shape.
Ultimately, Red Bull opted for an extreme setup, with an extremely small rear wing. This did bring Verstappen the pole, but in the wet conditions of the race, the Dutchman was merely a bystander with a difficult car to drive.

These are the upcoming updates for Red Bull

Verstappen eventually saw the gap to Oscar Piastri in the world championship standings increasing further. Continuing his streak of world titles, by the way, not something Verstappen has thought about for months and looking forward, that will not change.
Verstappen indeed knows which updates the team will introduce and GPblog can report: there will not be many more of them coming. Only a single adjustment to the bodywork will take place in the short term, no further updates are expected.
Red Bull Racing realises that the battle for both the drivers' and constructors' championships is lost, which is why the focus shifts completely to the 2026 car. Next year, the technical regulations will be completely overhauled, and every team starts from scratch. Moreover, Red Bull - in partnership with Ford - will introduce its own engine project; Red Bull Powertrains.
