The current regulations are making Max Verstappen reflect on 'life', the Dutchman said after his Q2 exit in Japan. "I'm not even frustrated anymore. I'm beyond that. Yeah, I don't know what to make of it," Verstappen said after finishing 11th in qualifying at the
Japanese Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver struggled to find the right words in his native Dutch, too.
"Yeah, I don't get upset about it. I don't get disappointed or frustrated by it anymore with what's going on," he continued.
"You know how I think about a lot of stuff, right? I don't need to mention it again. So a lot of stuff for me to personally figure out."
Verstappen set to reflect on 'life'
"Life. Life here," Verstappen said cryptically when asked what he needs to figure out.
In recent weekends, Verstappen has been critical of the current generation of
F1 cars, explaining that what's happening on track is
'not racing'.
The four-time world champion confirmed that the matters he needs to figure out are related to the regulations. "Yes," he concluded.
