F1 team runs into power unit data anomaly and stops on-track running in Bahrain

Lance Stroll is currently not on track driving the AMR26, as the team is carrying out precautionary checks on the car's power unit.
Stroll is meant to drive during both the morning and afternoon sessions this Wednesday at the Bahrain International Circuit. This week, he is also meant to take on two entire days of testing after completing only a handful of laps in Barcelona two weeks ago.

Precautionary checks for Aston Martin on Day 1 in Bahrain

However, the Canadian is not seen on the track at the moment. The team detected a data anomaly this afternoon, after completing the morning session.

As a result, the Silverstone-based outfit is now carrying out precautionary checks on the power unit to understand the issue before they can continue their programme, the team confirmed to GPblog.
Stroll has completed 36 laps so far today in Sakhir. His fastest lap time is a 1:39.883.
