Because of the coronavirus, the start of the F1 calendar of 2020 has been postponed. The summer break has been brought forward and has already been extended. As a result, factories of the teams have been closed for F1 development. However, F1 teams are converting their factories so that they can help healthcare.
McLaren is one of the teams that are busy using their resources to lend a helping hand to the health care sector in the corona crisis period. Many hospitals need specific equipment such as ventilators that are often used at ICUs.
Because the capacity of ICUs worldwide is scaled up in such a way, there is a shortage of such equipment. Ferrari already started in February with a similar way of helping the Italian health care sector. In the video above you get a small glimpse into the converted McLaren factory and what the team is doing there now.
