I am a passionate and knowledgeable Formula 1 fan who has watched the sport since age five, watching every single race. Having karted competitively throughout my teens, I understand what it takes to be a racing driver, and every aspect of motorsports fascinates me. I am now studying sports journalism at the University of Gloucestershire with the hopes of one day landing a dream role in motorsport. Max Verstappen had a tough start to his Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend. The reigning world champion went off the track twice in FP1, and at no point throughout Friday was happy with his car. Towards the end of the session in FP2, Max Verstappen visited the gravel trap at the penultimate corner, adding to his struggles. Verstappen finished the session in seventh, with teammate Sergio Perez in eighth. Both Red Bulls will be hoping to improve throughout the weekend, especially with Ferrari and McLaren having a successful Friday. Charles Leclerc finished FP2 in first, with Oscar Piastri just behind him.
