In 2026, Ford will make a re-entry into Formula One after more than 20 years. The US car brand has spectacularly laid out both its history and future in a real film to celebrate its upcoming partnership with Red Bull Racing.

Ford continues long history in F1

The video includes footage of the successful partnership between Ford and Cosworth, which was established in the 1960s. The revolutionary Cosworth DFV engine accounted for no less than 176 victories and ten constructors' titles between 1967 and 1985. Teams like McLaren, Williams, Brabham and Surtees raced with it.
Later success followed when Ford started supplying engines to Benetton, with which Michael Schumacher became World Champion for the first time in 1994. A later collaboration with Stewart's team was not a resounding success, as was its own F1 project with Jaguar Racing. This led to the team being sold to Red Bull at the end of 2004.
