Max Verstappen took over the lead in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone from Valtteri Bottas. The Red Bull Racing driver came back second on the circuit after the pit stop, but Verstappen soon managed to put his RB16 alongside the Mercedes.
The Mercedesses don't seem to feel at home on the hard tyres yet. With twenty laps older tyres Verstappen managed to keep out of Bottas and Hamilton during his first stint. For the 22 year old Limburger this finally resulted in taking over first place.
