On this day in 1985; it was the Austrian Grand Prix. Andrea de Cesaris completely destroyed his car and somehow just walked away. When de Cesaris got back to the pits, he said to his team that the car had broken and that was the sole reason he totalled his car! However, when they got to see the replay, they were furious. Team boss, Guy Ligier said "I cannot afford to keep employing this man" and the driver was sacked a race later...
