The Brazilian Grand Prix had an eventful start. For instance, Max Verstappen had a collision with Lewis Hamilton, for which the Dutchman was blamed as the main culprit. The same happened shortly afterwards to Lando Norris, who collided with Charles Leclerc.

Norris penalised for incident with Leclerc

A lot happened in the first few laps of the race at Interlagos. On the first lap, Kevin Magnussen' s dream fell apart when he tangled with Daniel Ricciardo, seeing his race come to an early end. A safety car followed, after which several more incidents occurred.

Just after the restart, Verstappen and Hamilton collided and not long after, the same happened between Norris and Leclerc. After Verstappen was blamed, the stewards also ruled against Norris. Like the Red Bull driver, he was handed a five-second time penalty.
