World Championship standings after sprint race in Miami | Ricciardo scores

Max Verstappen was in no danger during the sprint race. The Dutchman increases his lead in the championship. Daniel Ricciardo has also scored his first points of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

After the sprint race, Verstappen is still at the top of the championship. The Dutchman took eight points with his victory, putting him 27 points ahead of teammate Sergio Perez, who finished third in the sprint.

Ricciardo is the biggest winner in terms of positions. The Australian picked up his first five points of the season, moving him up to 13th place. Teammate Yuki Tsunoda also picks up a point after Lewis Hamilton was penalised for speeding in the pit lane.
