The Miami Grand Prix is on the calendar again this season. It means that with COTA and Las Vegas, Formula 1 has no fewer than three American race weekends this calendar year. The Miami International Autodrome will also be the venue for hard-fought World Championship points in 2023.

The Miami circuit is located around the Hard Rock Stadium in the US city. Stephen Ross, the stadium's owner, is using new and existing roads to make the track Formula 1-worthy. A few weeks before the start of the race weekend, organisers prepare the circuit.

The circuit is 5.410 kilometres long and has 19 corners. Apex Circuit Design has designed the circuit, with drivers having to deal with a lot of bends, especially in the first sector. Between turn sixteen and seventeen is a long straight. Here, drivers can make use of their engine power. Charles Leclerc scored the first pole position in 2022, but Max Verstappen went on to win the race a day later.
