Fernando Alonso is a Spanish Formula 1 driver who is in his last Formula 1 season. Currently driving for McLaren, Alonso made his debut in Formula 1 with Minardi in 2001. Renault signed the Spaniard in 2003 and he became world champion in 2005 and 2006 at the French team. In 2007, the Spanish driver left for McLaren, where he became teammates with Lewis Hamilton. He signed on at Ferrari in 2010, where he had a chance to win the world title but never did. Alonso returned to McLaren in 2015 but the hoped-for result has never come to fruition. Fernando Alonso is still seen as one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One.He will retire from F1 at the end of 2018.
