Scuderia AlphaTauri have, probably unintentionally, changed their username on Instagram to what may become the new name of the Formula 1 team. This makes rumours all the more persistent that Red Bull Racing's sister team will really be called Visa Cash App RB after all.
Have Red Bull accidentally declared new name for AlphaTauri?
The rumour mill is in full swing around AlphaTauri's new name. First the Racing Bulls domain name and logo were registered, recently the domain name in question was now found to redirect to 'visacashapprb.com'. This would potentially mean that the F1 team will be called Visa Cash App RB in 2024. The new name would match an earlier statement by CEO Peter Bayer, who indicated that two major sponsors will become part of the team name.
None other than Red Bull themselves threw some more oil on the fire on Thursday night: AlphaTauri's username on Instagram was changed to @visacashapprb. The username went around the internet like wildfire, leading AlphaTauri to delete the Instagram account. Whether this indeed means that Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda's team will go through life as Visa Cash App RB or Visa Cash App Racing Bulls from the next F1 season is a matter of wait and see.
