With Red Bull's internal investigation into Christian Horner, there is much speculation about the front-runner at Red Bull Racing. For instance, Horner's future at the team seems uncertain, but the future of technical mastermind Adrian Newey at Red Bull also seems to be in doubt.
It was previously suggested that Horner and Newey's contracts at the Austrian racing team are intertwined. If one were to leave the team, the other could do the same. Subsequently, it has been rumoured that Newey has already informed the team that he is staying at Red Bull and that his friendship with the team boss is not as strong as before.

Newey has an interest in Ferrari

Newey has repeatedly hinted that he is not ruling out a departure from Red Bull Racing. His eye has repeatedly fallen on the prestigious Ferrari. According to him, Ferrari is a magical brand that everyone in motorsport is fascinated with. He has also stated that he has been close to a switch to the Italians on several occasions.

Rumours that Newey could be heading to Ferrari have flared up again due to the chaos currently taking place in the Austrian team, but also because Newey's wife, Amanda Newey, has liked a striking post on X. She has liked a post saying Adrian regrets never having worked for Ferrari, with Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton. "Now's your chance to tick off those regrets, Adrian," reads the post.
It's just a like, but it does produce questions. Indeed, in addition to the internal investigation, Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur is working on a multi-year plan to get the Italian racing team back to the top. As such, he will certainly not reject Newey's arrival.
