With the 2026 regulations in mind, Ferrari look set to make a change in their intrateam dynamics favouring Lewis Hamilton's input over Charles Leclerc's.
At least that is what Sky Sports F1 presenter Simon Lazenby believes.
Hamilton has so far been outspoken in terms of the input he's given toward the 2025 Ferrari car. A situation the Brit willlikely be hoping it can change ahead of the anticipated regulation overhaul to be premiered in F1 come next year.
In the Sky Sports F1 podcast, Lazenby states the importance of Ferrari's senior perofrmance engineer Jock Clear, and the role he may play in the decision, should Ferrari indeed choose to hear Hamilton's input over Leclerc's.
“I spoke to Jock Clear, [who] has worked with Lewis with both [teams]."
“He’s worked with him at Mercedes and he’s worked with him at Ferrari on the performance side and getting the best out of things."
At Mercedes Lewis Hamilton went on to win six drivers' titles, but only one of them (2014, ed.) was achieved with Clear as his performance engineer.

Clear's job at Ferrari is not only that of senior performance engineer. He's also Ferrari's Junior Academy's head driving coach, serving in said role for Leclerc as well.
According to Lazenby, though, the Ferrari top man would indeed be pushing the Scuderia to listen to Hamilton as they ready themselves to premiere the upcoming regulation change.
“If there’s anyone definitely shouting from the rooftops [saying], ‘Listen to what Lewis has to say’, it’s him, because apparently his [Hamilton’s] feedback is second to none."
“There’s a reason he’s won seven World Championships. His feedback is amazing,” Lazenby concluded.
