Wolff: 'Mercedes must pull itself out of this mess with all its might'

The next few months could be tough for Mercedes, as the silver arrows do not have much to look forward to in the title race for the time being. Team boss Toto Wolff is therefore sounding the alarm.
As Wolff himself pointed out, Mercedes is currently in 'the no man's land of Formula 1'. Not fast enough to keep up with the pace of frontrunners Ferrari and Red Bull Racing, but overall just too fast for the rest of the field. Only Lewis Hamilton seemed to have completely lost track in Saudi Arabia.

Wolff: 'Mercedes falls short everywhere'

Where lies the problem for Mercedes? According to Wolff, in any case, it is not down to the drivers. "Lewis and George are doing a good job and they could both be at the front, but unfortunately they don't have the car at the moment," the Austrian told Speedweek.com.
Mercedes is therefore not calling the car where the team wants it to be. "We come up short everywhere," Wolff sighs. "Do we belong to the top teams in any area? I don't think so." According to Wolff, there is only one thing to do: the team must pull itself together and "pull itself out of this mess with all its might.'
