It is still not clear whether Lewis Hamilton has recovered sufficiently from his corona infection to be back in action at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend. In any case, George Russell is eager to get back into the Mercedes.

Questionmarks

"There are still some question marks over who will be in the car this weekend in Abu Dhabi", said Toto Wolff in a Mercedes press release. "Lewis's condition is improving, but we won't know until closer to the time if he will be driving. We'll do everything we can to get him in the car.”
In any case, Hamilton knows what he wants. "We know he's determined to be back as soon as possible", said his team boss. "But his health is our main priority, so we will see what the situation is and then make the call.”
