Who is James Hinchcliffe?
James Hinchcliffe is a Canadian racing driver turned analyst, continuing to race in America in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
The 38-year-old drives the #9 Lamborghini for Pfaff Motorsport, with the 2025 season being his fifth year in IMSA after competing in the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2024 and 2025 campaigns.
Hinchcliffe made his mark in IndyCar with a career spanning 11 years in the American series, racing from 2011 to 2021. The Canadian took four race wins in his time behind the wheel, with his highest finish in the championship being P8.
Since then, the 38-year-old has made the move from track to the paddock and the commentary box, becoming an IndyCar analyst for the 2022 season after his retirement.
He has also made the move to the premier class of motorsport, becoming an F1 TV analyst for several races across the season, mainly the American races.
In February 2024, Hinchcliff became the youngest inductee into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame, becoming a member at 37 years of age.
