Whiting: F1 must continue to address overtaking

Overtaking in both Bahrain and China replenished the draught F1 fans witnessed in Australia.
But despite the significant improvement, Charlie Whiting insists that the topic still needs some serious attention.
“I think we should continue the discussion on this topic,” said race director Charlie Whiting.
“We saw two good races in a row, but in my opinion, it’s quite clear that the difficulty with overtaking remains.
“So this work needs to be continued.”
Aerodynamic changes for 2019 have been rumoured but time is running out on the deadline for a guaranteed change.
If there are more races where overtaking impresses fans, the matter will be pushed down the agenda. But the track layout in Australia will soon rise.
