In the final lap of the Austrian Grand Prix an unusual incident occurred. Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel went off the track together out of the blue. Both drivers do not know exactly how it happened.

Let's see the pictures first

"I don't know. It must have been a misunderstanding. I'm sure there was no intent from either side," Vettel told Sky Sports F1 after the race. Both Vettel and Raikkonen were driving outside the points at the time of the crash.
Raikkonen has yet to see the footage again. "I mean, it happened very quickly. The tyres hit each other and then we went. It didn't change the final result. We didn't score any points, so that's where it goes wrong," he said.

Poor race from both drivers

Both Raikkonen and Vettel played no significant role in the race at the Red Bull Ring. Raikkonen eventually crossed the line in 16th place, while Vettel never made it to the finish line.
