Verstappen the bookies' favourite for Brazil, title almost within reach

Max Verstappen is the big favorite with the bookmakers prior to the Brazilian Grand Prix. Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are close, but Bet365.com and Bwin.com clearly put the Dutchman in the favorite's role.

As with the Mexican Grand Prix, Verstappen is the favourite ahead of the Brazilian GP. The Red Bull Racing driver has the advantage on the Interlagos circuit because it is at altitude, there is a technical second sector and power is not everything. Verstappen has also been successful in recent editions.

For example, in 2018 Verstappen had victory up his sleeve, but things went wrong at the end of the race due to contact with back-marker Esteban Ocon. In 2019 Verstappen did win in impressive fashion, as this required him to pass Hamilton several times. In 2021, this will likely be made a little more difficult for him by the Brit.

After winning the Mexican GP, the world title is also getting closer for the 24-year-old driver. Verstappen is 19 points ahead in the championship and with just four races to go, that makes for a very low bet.
