For the first time since the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will start a race side by side from the front row of the grid. This has provided plenty of spectacle in the past, however, the Dutchman now indicates that it is not all about the start.

Verstappen sees chances in the race

Verstappen indicated in the Formula 1 Drivers' Parade that he probably won't take too many risks in the first corner. "I mean in general I'm feeling good about today, but it's also not about lap 1, Turn 1. I think if you have a quick car, it doesn't matter, you will get an opportunity in the race. It's not a one-stop, so there will be quite a few opportunities," Verstappen said.
Of course, the two-time world champion is keen to win the race in Hungary as well, which would mean the Dutchman winning his seventh race in a row. "So far of course we have had a bit of a difficult weekend, but I do think that normally our race pace is always good with the car. So hopefully we can move up one place."
