While Max Verstappen took the pole position at the Canadian Grand Prix in extremely dominant fashion whilst his teammate Sergio Perez got stuck in Q2. No reason for Verstappen to lie awake, but for Red Bull Racing he might, according to the two-time world champion.
During qualifying for the Formula 1 race in Montreal, one side of the Red Bull garage was on top of things. Verstappen secured himself a fast lap time and again, while his team made the right tyre choices in the changing conditions. For Perez, qualifying went less smoothly.

Verstappen is worried about Perez's problems

Verstappen can imagine that his teammate is frustrated by his twelfth place on the grid, but is by no means worried about his teammate's struggles. "Then I wouldn't be happy, of course. But I am not concerned about it. I'm busy enough getting everything right on my own side. So what happens on the other side, I don't pay attention to that," he told Nu.nl and others after qualifying.
Those who may have to worry about Perez's disappointing performance, however, are Red Bull Racing. "Had I not been here now, it would have looked very different for Red Bull," Verstappen stressed. "The team might concern themselves with it. Other than that, it's not my problem."
