Max Verstappen has left the door open to a potential NLS3 appearance now that Formula 1 faces a month-long gap in the calendar. "We're looking into it. It just all depends on if it's all feasible"
- Max VerstappenThe next round of the German endurance championship will take place on April 11 for NLS3: the 57th Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy (4h).
The event would have originally clashed with the Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled between April 10 and 12, but it has since been cancelled (for now), along with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to tensions in the Middle East.
Asked whether he will be back at the Nürburgring in three weeks’ time now that Formula 1 will go on a break after the Japanese Grand Prix, the Dutchman did not confirm but did not rule it out either: "We're looking into it. It just all depends on if it's all feasible. But I mean, I'm always happy to race here."
Verstappen laughs off Mario Kart ‘rainbow track’ training after Nordschleife win
Joking about the idea of Mario Kart-style preparation, he pointed instead to the extensive simulator work he has done at the circuit in recent years, explaining how it makes a significant difference for a rookie by helping them learn the layout before arriving, with the focus then shifting to building pace and adapting to traffic in GT machinery.
He also highlighted the unique atmosphere of the venue, underlining how special it is to race there, especially in front of such passionate fans, adding that being part of that environment made the experience even more rewarding.
