Max Verstappen may have won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, but the Dutchman was not completely satisfied with his car in Baku. According to Verstappen, there is still work to be done.
After qualifying on Saturday, Verstappen clearly showed that he was not satisfied with the balance of his RB18. Especially on street circuits, the Dutchman has difficulty with the steering, something Sergio Perez does not suffer from. During the Monaco Grand Prix, this also proved to be a problem.
"On Saturday we are not as quick as Ferrari for whatever reason. But I also want a bit more performance, just for myself on a Saturday, just with the feeling of the car as well", Verstappen says during the press conference.

Verstappen more satisfied on Sunday

However, the Red Bull seems to be the faster car on Sunday this year. At the start, Perez managed to overtake rival Charles Leclerc immediately, but the Ferrari driver later dropped out due to reliability issues. In the end, Verstappen was faster than his teammate, yet there is still room for improvement.

"But on a Sunday, in general, it always feels a bit better. But yeah, there is still, of course, enough work to do to try and improve the car. But I guess everyone has the same thing. It's still a very young and new car so we will always look to improve. And at the moment, it looks like Saturdays is the biggest room for improvement."
