Red Bull expected to be ahead of the rest on the Hungaroring due to the track characteristics. But Verstappen doesn't expect to be in the battle for pole tomorrow.
He expressed how good the car feels after two practice sessions earlier today, but having been beaten by Sebastian Vettel in both sessions, he doubts it's good enough for 1st.
"The car was good, but we still lose quite a lot on the straight, unfortunately," Verstappen told Sky Sports.
"It's difficult to say at the moment. I think we can improve our car a little bit more, but if it's going to be good enough for pole position, I'm not sure."
The Mercedes lagged between half a second and 1 second behind the Red Bull. Despite this, the Dutchman wasn't getting too relaxed about the Silver Arrows.

"I think Mercedes, they couldn't get a lap on the ultra, they both went a bit wide or whatever," Verstappen added.
"So I'm expecting them to be there as well tomorrow. Ferrari looks quick. In the long run, as well Mercedes look competitive."
Verstappen describes it as a mouth-watering battle! But what do you think? Are all three teams capable of finishing 1st tomorrow?
