Verstappen and Sainz incident to be investigated by the stewards at the Hungaroring

Verstappen was on a flying lap in FP1 when he had to overtake Sainz instead of the Spaniard moving aside. Over the team radio, the Dutchman said: "Yeah, unbelievable, these guys. That was actually really dangerous, like he even slammed on the brakes."

Sainz said he had no radio communication to warn him that Verstappen was coming.

The stewards first noted the incident before announcing that Sainz would be investigated after the session for driving erratically. The two drivers will have to appear in front of the stewards at 14:50 local time (13:50 GMT).

Over the radio, Verstappen also shared his thoughts on the car after the opening 15 minutes of running at the Hungaroring.

He said: "Downshifts are horrendous, and the car is jumping like crazy. I have really bad jumping on the front axle, like really bad."
