Red Bull Racing may not have been fastest on track in Monaco, but they were in the pit lane. With this, the Austrian racing stable increases its lead in the championship for the DHL Fast Pitstop Award.
Verstappen and Red Bull make fastest pit stop GP Monaco
With a pit stop of 2.10 seconds by
Max Verstappen's car, Red Bull takes the full prize. Aston Martin and
Stake F1 Team close out the top-three. The British team set a pit stop time of 2.37 seconds with
Lance Stroll' s car, while Stake had a pit stop of 2.51 seconds with
Guanyu Zhou's car.
During the Monaco race, only five teams made pit stops, meaning not every team scored points in the trophy. For example, Ferrari and
McLaren did not make a pit stop. This increases Red Bull's lead at the top. The Austrian racing stable tops the championship with 258 points.
Ferrari has to settle for second place with 111 points until the
Canadian Grand Prix.
