Today the last Formula 2 race was held, where Mick Schumacher won the world title after an incredibly exciting sprint race. Yuki Tsunoda finished second, after winning the Feature Race on Saturday. In the interview after the race, he seemed to be hinting at a seat in Formula 1 next year...
We had to wait for his super licence to arrive, because only then he can make the switch to Formula 1. This seems to be the only thing that could stand in the way of Tsunoda getting a seat at AlphaTauri.

Now that this obstacle has been overcome, it's probably just a matter of time before the switch is announced. "I want to thank Carlin, Red Bull and especially Honda for this season. They gave me the confidence I needed and I learned a lot from them."
Then he is asked a question about next year, which seems to surprise him. "I can't say it yet, I wish I could. But it is not up to me to confirm that. Hopefully there will be a message from Red Bull Racing soon, because I would like nothing more than to drive in Formula 1 on behalf of Japan," said Tsunoda.
