Tom Coronel, a Dutch racing driver has expressed his feelings regarding the penalty that he believes Lewis Hamilton should have received. After the race, Hamilton was called into the stewards' decision to discuss how he crossed the white line at the pit entrance.
The Brit turned off at the last second and the stewards acknowledged the miscommunication error. Coronel insists the FIA should have been stronger with their decision making.
“A white line is just a white line. I think this is really an incredibly strange story. Maybe it’s me, but I just do not [get it.] Again, the FIA is not consistent in handing out punishments,” the former WTCC driver told Traffic radio.

He went on to discuss fellow Dutchman Max Verstappen’s driving in the rain. The 20-year-old has performed well in wet conditions before but yesterday he struggled. Coronel tells fans not to judge Verstappen on one performance.

“In the past, Max has shown things in the rain that many drivers are jealous of. We also have to be realistic that he doesn’t turn into a god with every rain.”
