George Russell looks back very self-critically on last Sunday's Grand Prix in Styria. Williams' Englishman started from P11, but made a mistake early in the race. As a result he eventually dropped to P16.
This left him only ahead of teammate Nicholas Latifi. In conversation with the media channels of his team, he offered his sincere apologies up to three times. "I made a mistake, that's why I want to say sorry to my team. In the beginning I completely ruined it. I got off to a good start and managed to keep my position. I just tried to hold my position on the outside of turn six and lost it completely. There was no grip. I'll come back stronger next week."

Compete for the points

Williams initially expected to compete for the points. "Honestly, he didn't. Our pace was very low, already for the second week in a row. So we have to understand that and try to improve. Like I said: I hate it. I apologize again to the team", Russell concluded. Together with Haas, Williams is the only team that hasn't been able to score a point yet. Last season Russell stayed dry as well, being the only driver on the grid.
